His nail-scarred hands

there was a time

when I thought that I

could not live

without those sins

but now I want to forget them

and the Lord has promised me oh by His grace

I will forget the sin

oh but not the redemption

I'll forget temptation

but not the strength

I'll forget this fallen world

but I'll have just one reminder

His nail-scarred hands

when I look at Jesus

I see my Redeemer

when I look to Jesus 

He makes me whole

and though sin abounded

grace doth much more abound

though I was lost

now I am found

though I am weary

I'll be made strong

by the grace of God

till that day when after 

time is done

and there's no more sinful things

distracting His righteous daughters and sons

then we can be holy

for all of time

and we can forget these crimes
