the Father's love

there once was a young lad who ran away from home

                    his father was troubled to see that son go...

his father said, "Oh if only he knew that I could see everything,

                    what he's done, and where he's going to...

Oh If only my son could see, the love that I have he would never leave me."

                  Patiently waiting with tears in his eyes,

the father looked on and in his whole being cried,

                  "Who can I send to get my son,

back from the fighting, the girls, and the slums."

                    Then he looked and he saw the greatest of all his sons,

the flesh of his flesh, the blood of his blood

                 when he looked at this son here's what he said,

"Oh my son how I love you,

                   you've been always the best,

from the time you were lads

                      you gave your young brother rest

you've always shown ever so much love for your father

                     and all that I say, its a shame that you're brother has run away

Oh if only that son could see, that his father knew everything

                before he even was born

but in love he let through the plague and the storm,

           and he sent his own shepherds to bring his son home

and the father said, "Oh if only he knew that I could see everything

         I know where he's gone, and I know what he's done

still I will take that boy home."

         Well the shepherds they came and they went, but the son stayed behind,

the women, and sports kept his dad from his mind

              and the father just looked upon his beloved son,

the son who would never run away,

               and the son came to the father and said,

"I will go get my brother and I'll bring him home,

                     I love him like you do and never again will he roam

he'll see our love and surely he'll come, never again to run"

           The father said alright and sent out his dearly beloved to bring home his boy

well the good son went into that land of evil

               the good son was perfect and unchanged and unphased

he was stronger than the city folks on their best day

            for three and a half years the perfect son went

all through the city day by day toil spent

             till finally the city folk killed that dear man

they said, "let us kill him just cruel as we can."

             they couldn't lament him on this day of cheer for you see his dying words were

"My brother come here..." and his brother came close

               and He whispered into his ear,

"my brother my brother, won't you come home?

                  I've come to take you out of Rome,

my brother my brother, don't stay here,

                    I knew they would kill me, and so did our dad,

but we let this happen so you would come back."

                The son ran back home and who should he see?

the Father was standing with a grin on His face,

                  and His Son with scarred hands and marks on His face

now I tell you this brother, is me and you

             so come home to the Father because he's called you

Come again and set Your servant free

I see the way she looks at me

but I know that even if I give in

even if I give her all she wants to see

still I know it would be, so very empty

it would not fill either of our needs

look at Jesus, He lived and died for you

When Jesus comes into you

The day heaven rejoiced

           Oh how glorious the day, the day when the Savior was born of a virgin in a manger,

                     

 Think about that, the King of the universe, the God of heaven, 

There was no robbery for Him to be counted equal to God,

Rather He chose to come to this world and be born of a virgin in a stable with beasts

Now I want to take you to a place even more glorious

a day more beautiful than that in the manger.

I want to take you to the day that all heaven rejoiced... 

My Savior was betrayed and taken prisoner,

despised and rejected my Savior was hung between earth and heaven on a cross

I want to take you to a place called Calvary

Here my Savior died and bled for me!

Here my Lord was taken and nailed to a cross

pierced feet, pierced hands, blood stained a righteous man

the self-righteous pharisees wag their fingers,

soldiers cast lots for garments that were worn by a man who's shoes prophets were unfit to touch

A man cries out, "remember me when you come into your kingdom"

everything stops, suddenly its quiet...

what will He say? This man who is the very Son of God?

He bids this thief entry to paradise; and with that thief I can go in

I want to take you to a place where living water flows from the side of the Savior

evidence of the fact that man could not kill Jesus, He died of a broken heart

His mighty "it is finished" brought cheers in heaven, and fear to the heart of the devil

This man of Calvary was taken down, dead, 

it looked as though He was defeated

but could our eyes be opened this would have been the moment of victory

the Son of man conquered death!

Three days later He returned from the grave and justified the faithful and repentant ones

Now my mighty liberator lives, forever at the side of the Most High

in the most holy place He acts for us, 

the day of judgement is here and the love of God is for all of His children revealed!

Blessing and honor and glory to the Lamb! 

let us sing a new song to the Holy One who sits on the throne of judgment

all because He gave heaven cause to rejoice

I'm claiming all Your promises Jesus, I don't really care what I lose

                        For all that You've given that I know I don't deserve, You came as a Lamb for the lost

O Jesus what is there for me to say, I know that there's no good in me;

                          All that I desire is to serve You LORD, all that I want is Your love

Oh how I love to be broken, cause it's breaking my heart that moves my hands and feet

                      Oh how I love to be broken, because when I'm breaking I know You're making me complete

What could I say, what could I do, I know that there's no good in me

                         All good things come from You

You made me, then You came to save me, o Jesus I'm so in love with You

                       They call me crazy yes they say that I'm wrong, but Your word will ever be my song

I am a sinner and I know my place, but You died for the fallen human race

                    I am so wicked I can't comprehend, why You died for me

I am so broken to think about, those nails that I drove into Your  hands

                It saddens me when I think about how I stabbed You with a spear and cast lots for Your clothes

But still You look at me, yes You look at this worm and You say,

                  "I think there's something that I can use, I know that I love this child"

So now I'm claiming all Your promises I know their truth,

                    I'm claiming Your promises, please make me new

In spite of me

O my LORD O my LORD, to You is all the glory, to You is all the praises!

                             I know that as long as You've called me You can make miracles, come to be,

All in spite of me! In spite of me oh God on high!

O Jesus, sweet redeemer, Holy LORD of all! Oh Jesus please come use me, save me before I fall

             How there is no good in me... yea corruption is all I bring

Still Jesus You know, just how to save, still Jesus You know, just how my dept was paid

                     Jesus Jesus You're the king, You are God of everything!

and You know how to use me, I don't know what You see in Your servant LORD,

                      But I know that if I call on You, Your miracles will be

in spite of me, in spite of me... All in spite of me!

Oh Jesus there is nothing in this world that I won't do, Oh Jesus there is nothing I won't give up for You!!!!

                      I lay my pride down at Your beautiful feet, I'm asking You to reshape me till I'm complete!

I call on Your promises, You can just reshape me!

You're all that I can see, Jesus let it be, that You're will be done in me

                           I know that if I call on You, so long as I believe

Your miracles, they can be done, in the brightness of the Son,

My Best Friend

Oh LORD Jesus how I love You I cannot comprehend,

                                   I love You long after the end,

You are my Savior, You're my King and my God

                                   You are so holy I'm unworthy of though

all my beauty, all my cumliness, is just corruption when I behold Jesus

                                    There is nothing that I can bring

all that I have is my broken heart, but You say, My child, that's all I want

                                    O Sweet Redeemer Your love is true

O dear blessed Savior how can I ever thank You

                                  You remind me, oh that there is nothing I can do

the victory, doesn't belong to me, the victory only belongs to You

                                    Jesus I've been wicked and so impure

but now You offer to save me and I can't turn away

                              You took this weak wretched worm and made me Your friend

                              to the Love that You and Your servant doth share

So I just pray that You live through me, that You might bless others with Your presence please!

they may think I'm crazy

                  they may assume I'm unlearned

but whatever the world says

                  no matter what they think

                these people can only

                 for I know they would know Your love too

              when Jesus is always listening oh so sweetly

           now all that I wanna do is go fourth to share the name of your Son
