Why did you not tell us?

I saw a flame come down from heaven

among the beautiful homes

instantly the homes were consumed

and I heard men say

"we knew that the judgment was coming

but we didn't know it would come so soon"

then I heard other men say

"you knew! Why did you not tell us?

We never knew"

so flames came down on this wicked world

while God's people were safe in His love

for the blood of the saints

for righteousness sake

God must bring the judgment down

sin and sinners must be consumed

and I heard men say

"we knew that the judgment was coming

but we didn't know it would come so soon"

then I heard other men say

"you knew! Why did you not tell us?

we never knew"

the cries rang out 

a saddened shout

"you knew! Why did you not tell us?

we never knew" 

so go on and shout with the loudest cry

to all the world and to every man woman and child

go on and shout out to the world

tell them all that He's coming soon!
